Kumbh Mela visible from space

The Kumbh Mela is one of the most important celebration of India. The Kumbh Mela of year 2011 was the greatest gathering of people with over 75 million devotees. The mela was much large that it was visible from the space. The gatherings happened at four and 12 years of gap.

India discovered that there is water on moon. 

In 2008, India’s space agency ISRO launched spacecraft named Chandrayaan- 1. By using Moon Mineralogy Mapper, India detected that there is water on the moon for the first time. After in 2020 NASA confirmed it.

World’s second-largest English-speaking nation: India

We Indians give much importance to English Language. The USA is world’s largest English-speaking nation and India comes second to the USA.  10% of India’s population speaks English and in coming years we expect that it will grow by larger number. 

Hinduism: Oldest religion of world 

Yes… according to many studies, Hinduism is more than 4000years old. More than a religion Hinduism is considered as ‘Way of living’. 

As they knew us about founders of other religions but there is no known founder of Hinduism and we don’t care about it too because it teaches us best way of life so it doesn’t matter who started it. 95% of Hindus live in India. 

There is no one god in Hinduism and there is no concept of god. Hindus refer them as supreme souls( Paramatma). Hindus mainly worshiped Brahma (Creator), Vishnu (Preserver) and Mahesh(Destroyer). 

Hindus consider 108 as a sacred number. It defines the ratio of the Sun’s distance from Earth to the Sun’s diameter. 

The Monument of love: Taj Mahal, is changing its color 

Sound strange right.. How an inanimate object can changes its color?

The Monument of love, the most famous tomb in India, is of actually white color. But, due to pollution in the air, the white marble walls are slowly turning from white to a yellow to brown color. 

During World War II, they kept the Taj Mahal protected with bamboo piles 

During World War II, they covered The Taj Mahal with bamboo piles to protect it from bomber planes, and yes, the trick worked 

One of the Country with the lowest divorce rates in the world

In India, we consider marriage as a sacred ritual and not just a ceremony. This can be one reason. According to researches, the divorce rate in India is only 1%, which is lowest. 

First country to consume sugar

Yes, In honour of the Late Missile Man, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Switzerland government declared May 26th as their Science Day, as he had visited Swiss on this day.
