The iPhone 17 price you’re seeing at ₹59,034 is real maths, but it needs a specific card plus an iPhone 15 worth the top exchange value. Most buyers without an old iPhone will pay about ₹90,000 to ₹93,000 for the 256GB model this Diwali.
Here’s the part that surprised me: this month’s price isn’t even the sale’s lowest. Flipkart’s listing is ₹7,301 above what we recorded on 29 October, and the numbers are in section 2.
⚡ Key takeaways
- Live on 6 November: Amazon ₹92,900, Flipkart ₹97,300, Apple’s own list price ₹99,900 for the 256GB model.
- With eligible cards, both land near ₹90,000. Amazon’s ICICI cashback gives about ₹90,113, and Flipkart’s card discount gives about ₹90,284 to ₹90,400.
- The ₹59,034 headline needs an ICICI or HDFC credit card plus “up to” ₹31,250 for your iPhone 15.
- Without an exchange, Amazon has the better listing price. Check the delivery date if it’s a Diwali gift.
- Worth buying only if you’d pay ₹90,000 anyway. It’s not the bargain that ₹59,034 suggests.
How the iPhone 17 Price Gets to ₹59,034
Gizbot’s 6 November breakdown is the one doing the rounds, and to its credit, it calls this a best case. It’s for the white 256GB on Flipkart.
| Step | Amount | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Listed price | ₹97,300 | Everyone |
| ICICI or HDFC credit card discount | − ₹7,016 | Only those cardholders |
| iPhone 15 exchange, “up to” | − ₹31,250 | Only a top-condition, eligible iPhone 15 |
| Effective price | ₹59,034 | Very few people |
So ₹38,266 comes off, and ₹31,250 of that is your own old phone. That’s the bit I’d keep in mind. An exchange isn’t a discount in the usual sense, because you’re handing over something that could’ve been sold for money.

Live iPhone 17 Price: Was It Cheaper in October?
I checked the store pages on 6 November, and it’s worth reading these against what the same phone cost weeks ago.
| Date and source | Store | iPhone 17 256GB |
|---|---|---|
| 10 October, TelecomTalk | Amazon | ₹76,999, though it noted the base deal was out of stock |
| 10 October, TelecomTalk | Flipkart | ₹86,999 |
| 29 October, our deal check | Flipkart | ₹89,999 |
| 6 November, Amazon search page | Amazon | ₹92,900 |
| 6 November, Flipkart search page | Flipkart | ₹97,300 |
| List price | Apple / struck-out MRP | ₹99,900 |
Sale prices move daily and with stock, so don’t read this as a rule. It’s still a clear lesson: “Diwali week” doesn’t automatically mean “cheapest week”. Anyone who waited for Dhanteras on this phone paid more than an early October buyer, if that buyer found stock.
Why ₹99,900 at all?
Apple raised India prices in September after the iPhone 18 Pro launch. Sunday Guardian reports the 256GB went up by ₹17,000 from ₹82,900. So a ₹92,900 “sale” is still ₹10,000 above what the phone cost before September.

TelecomTalk’s 5 November comparison is the most useful one I found. Here it is arranged by the kind of buyer you are, using its figures.
| You have | Amazon | Flipkart | Better |
|---|---|---|---|
| No eligible card, no exchange | ₹92,900 | ₹97,300 | Amazon by ₹4,400 |
| Amazon Pay ICICI credit card | About ₹90,113 | n/a | Amazon |
| HDFC, ICICI or SBI card on Flipkart | n/a | About ₹90,400 | Flipkart if Amazon’s card isn’t yours |
| Mint Galaxy S25 5G to exchange, no card | ₹65,400 | ₹67,750 | Amazon by ₹2,350 |
| Mint Galaxy S25 5G plus a card | About ₹62,613 | About ₹60,850 | Flipkart by ₹1,763 |
Those exchange lines are from one reporter’s test of a flawless S25 with battery health above 80%. Your scratched two-year-old phone won’t get ₹27,500 or ₹29,550.
💡 Pro tip
Amazon’s listing says “up to 5% back” with Amazon Pay ICICI, but TelecomTalk counted ₹2,787, which is 3%. Gizbot’s note on the Galaxy S25 Ultra deal says 5% is for Prime members and 3% for others. Check the exact figure on your own checkout before comparing.
Compare both with Apple’s store too. Apple lists ₹1,000 instant cashback on eligible American Express, Axis and ICICI cards, plus up to 12 months of no-cost EMI till 11 November. That’s about ₹98,900, so Amazon is still ₹6,000 lower with no card at all.

The Catch: 3 Things the ₹59,034 Number Hides
The figure isn’t a scam, and Gizbot says plainly that it’s a best case. It just asks you to meet conditions that most readers won’t.
⚠️ Watch out
“Up to ₹31,250” is decided at your door. Flipkart’s sell-back check runs on the pickup executive’s app, and it can lower the offer if it finds a hairline crack or weak battery. Our phone exchange guide covers what cuts the value and what happens if you say no.
- You give up your phone’s resale value. If a neighbour or colleague would pay you close to ₹31,250 in cash, your real saving from the exchange is close to nothing.
- The SBI line needs checking. Our earlier Flipkart SBI offer post found a reported ₹1,000 cap on phones, while Gizbot and TelecomTalk list ₹7,000 off for SBI on the iPhone 17. Selected products can carry extra discounts, so this may be one of them. The payment page settles it.
- Delivery can miss Diwali. On 6 November, Amazon’s page for the pincode I checked showed free delivery on Friday 13 November for the black iPhone 17. If this is a gift, check your pincode and don’t assume.
Also watch for fees. Cashify lists a ₹299 Protect Promise fee on Flipkart’s iPhone 17 Pro deal, so look for small add-ons before you pay.
5 Checks Before You Pay for an iPhone 17
Two minutes here can save you a few thousand rupees.
- Open both stores on the same day. Today’s gap is ₹4,400 before cards. Check for your pincode and colour, since colours and sellers can differ.
- Do the exchange sum separately. Get a resale quote for your old phone first. Compare “new price minus resale” with “new price minus exchange”.
- Confirm the card line. Your exact card must qualify. EMI can change the offer, and Gizbot notes Amazon’s cashback isn’t available on EMI on the S25 Ultra deal.
- Check the seller and the box. Buy from the store’s listed seller, keep the invoice and check the IMEI. Our Dhanteras bill checklist walks you through it.
- Beware “too good” links. Fake sale links do the rounds at festival time. Only use the store’s own app, and never pay a “booking fee” over UPI. See how Diwali sale scams work.

✅ Our verdict
Buy now only if you’ve already decided on an iPhone 17 and ₹90,000 feels fair to you. With a card, Amazon or Flipkart beats Apple’s store by about ₹8,500 to ₹8,800. If ₹59,034 is what pulled you in and you don’t have a mint iPhone 15, skip the rush, since you won’t get that price.
- Have an Amazon Pay ICICI, HDFC, ICICI or SBI card? Compare both stores on your pincode. You’ll likely land near ₹90,000.
- Have no eligible card? Amazon at ₹92,900 is the easy pick today, if the delivery date works.
- Budget closer to ₹60,000 and no old iPhone? This isn’t your phone this Diwali, however the ad reads. Look at our Diwali phone deal check for other options.
- Thinking of waiting? This buy-now-or-wait guide covers when patience pays.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the iPhone 17 price on Amazon and Flipkart today?
On 6 November 2026, the 256GB model showed ₹92,900 on Amazon and ₹97,300 on Flipkart, against a ₹99,900 list price. Sale prices change often, so check again before buying.
Can I really get an iPhone 17 under ₹60,000?
Only in the best case, according to Gizbot: ₹97,300 minus a ₹7,016 ICICI or HDFC card discount and up to ₹31,250 for an iPhone 15 in good condition. Most buyers won’t meet all of that.
Which store is cheaper for the iPhone 17?
Without a card or exchange, Amazon is ₹4,400 lower. With cards they come within a few hundred rupees of each other, so your specific card decides it.
Is the exchange value guaranteed?
No. “Up to” figures depend on the old phone’s model, condition and an on-the-spot check at pickup. Treat the exchange amount as an estimate until it’s confirmed.
Why did the iPhone 17 get costlier?
Apple raised India prices in September 2026 after the iPhone 18 Pro launch, and Sunday Guardian reports a ₹17,000 rise on the 256GB model. Reports cite the rupee, costs and duties.
The Bottom Line
The ₹59,034 iPhone 17 price is possible and unusual. The honest number is about ₹90,000 with a card, or ₹92,900 without one, as of 6 November. Before you pay, price your old phone separately and let the checkout page show the final figure.
